I Lighten Up a Bit
Monday, September 25, 2006, 4:45 AM
Those were some heavy posts of late and I for one, need some levity. Or at least a change of pace.
Let me talk about me boy. He's in AK right now. (*waves....*)
"Hi Honey!! Hope you are having a good time. I miss you" *smooches*
He was t-boned in his truck going to work one day, about a month ago. I blogged about it a while back. He wasn't hurt but his baby was. I finally got some picks to show you.
Of course, you realize that the damage is about 3 grand. The vehicle is a 1989 so it's only worth around 3 grand or less....yup, the insurance company will total it. Bill will have to buy it back, salvage title and take the money and have it repaired. He was and is still, so sad because he LOVED this truck.
But, he does have other interests. He is planning a bar for the basement. ( I don't know why, nobody ever comes over) And he wants a theme of airplanes or something. He hasn't exactly articulated it completely but I know he wants to take the windshields he has from his flying C140 days and make that the top to his bar. His wooden propellers should be delivered today and he got this the other day.

He'll put this in back of the bar or something on the wall. He will light it up. I had so much FUN flickin' switches and toggles. Weeeeee.
I miss him. But he calls me or I call him and we talk at least twice a day. And sometimes more. They are planning another trip in 2 years, only longer and with the wives. (I hope like hell that one of the wives doesn't show up...huh Babe? I may push her sorry butt in the river! Beotch)
But you may not have noticed that I had no pics on Saturday of our newest pup, Hank's eyes. That's because the worm won't sit still. I have never had a problem getting our pets to pose. He's in constant motion. Here I had to hold him with me legs while I took his photo. And I can't seem to get him to put his big ole ears up.
Those red things are my socks.
One day, Abby was just too tired to get all the way in her bed.
Our black walnut in the front yard.
A volunteer in the front garden. Anyone want to take a guess what it is? We need to transplant it this fall if it's worth saving.
Finally, has anyone gotten this in email? Wild huh?
Have a good Monday everyone.
♥Pam

OK, First question: How do you get the captions for your pictures to fit where they are supposed to? (see my only caption for Colorado Color Sunday about Where's Waldohans?) Next: How do you get so many pictures to post?
I'm glad only the truck was injured and that everyone is ok.
We have a truck that looks similar to this but it's silver and the damage is to the hood.
I can't wait to see the finished "product" on your project. And lastly, maybe the
e-coli outbreak wasn't so much in the spinach, but everyone was eating frogs and just didn't know it.
Answered you over to your place SW.
Love that comment about the frogs.
LOL
♥Pam
I liked the pictures! I wish I could say something witty about the frog but I can't think of anything. lol
heard at a local restaurant:
"Honey, do I have any frog in my teeth?"
What a cutie patootie.
Bill, not the frog.
H!E!L!P! I tried publishing today, waited and waited. Blogger said engineers knew there was a problem. I can't even get my "glob" to show up. Neither does Julie's or Ree's...everyone else comes up. What's the deal? Can you see it and is the new post on it that tells the story about what happened to his pickup? H!E!L!P!
Wow Pam! So jealous of Bills fishing trip...tooo cool! That walnut tree is awsome, and that volunteer looks like a rosebush,so I'm no help at all..I'm sure you would have known if it was a rosebush, I'd keep it another year and see what it does and go from there.
I haven't gotten that email, I'm sure of it, it's not something I'm likely to froget about~! ;P
I hope my yesterday comment didn't come off too harsh..I did get a kick out of your syphillis reply! too funny.
Hugs,
Stacie
Bill is a cutie patootie. :) Is that a camera around his neck? If so, it is way to close to the water for me. :) Sure wish I was on a fishing trip. Where are they fishing?
Love love love the photos. McD even had to come in close to look. He saw Hank and was drawn in. :) Sure wish I could help you out on the mystery photo.
Oh, and please put me on your email list for the quotes. Here is my email...butchnjulie at gmail dot com. Thanks!!!
What the heck kinda fish is that???
Cool pictures.
Love the frog and fish.
Take Care
Michael
Oh ps....I totally forgot to tell you I LOVE the airplane/bar idea..way too cool. Just tell Bill to remember, 8 hours from bottle till throttle. LOL is that a chinook salmon? Such a pretty color...they're only like that during mating season right? They mate, then kick it...what a way to go! LOL
Stacie
I'm back but I'm holding my breath trying to not let Blogger know that I'm here. Great lookin' husband, I mean fish. Will he have it processed and shipped home? Where in Alaska? Did you tell us and I just missed it?
Hey Pam,
I was checking out your blog, wanting to see if you had info on the fishing expedition and the fun. Your blog is interesting, I do not blog, not enough time in the day as it is.
The picture of Bill and his fish is very intriguing. Dave says they are all having a blast, he has enjoyed every single second of his time there.
Looking forward to the men coming home..take care...
Carmen (earrings)
Hey Stacie, nope, you're fine, didn't notice anything OOTO. Not a rosebush. I'm gonna have the boy go to a nursery next week while I'm gone and see if they can ID it. Or maybe the arborist who's coming to trim trees might know.
Julie, that is his camera around his neck. That's Hank the Cow Dog. Do you know those stories?
It's a salmon MB but I don't know if it's a chinook Stacie. I can tell you it was in the Russian River near Anchorage. And you are right, they get that ugly just after spawning, or so I'm told. My cube mate was intrigued and went and google'd it today and they look like regular 'fish' until they spawn.
Hey SW, Bill says you can't keep anything you catch at this time of year. I dunno *shrugs* and Danka for the compliment on my husband, I mean fish! ;0]
Well, How Do Carmen. Bill says the same thing...so glad I didn't go though. I think the boys needed some time together. And I look forward to them coming home too. BTW, you made me laugh with the word in parentheses. :0]
♥Pam
Pam: O-O-O-O-O (hand waves frantically in the air) (student bounces on seat) I know! I know! I know ALL the words! O-O-O-O-O
Teacher: Yes,Pam, your sentence used all the words in context." Good job. A+
Yea - absence makes the heart grow fonder - but looks like you have some good company til he returns.
OK - who put that frog in there? hehe
I love reading your blog and looking at your pictures, but today I had to leave a comment on this one.
That is so wild! I still am laughing.
The frog picture that is.
Right about now, I wish my husband was in AK...or anywhere else but near me.
Need I say we are on the "outs"? Nah...didn't think so.
And I try really hard not to get that bag of lettuce with the frog in it...I don't know...it just tastes different with the frog than without it...;)
Wow, that first photo is SUPER!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG
BTW I love the new stuff here! Cool that you met on a blind date! Was it love at first site too?
Hey Kate. Well, I guess you could say it was love at first site. We went out every single night after we met and....
Oh wait. I think I will save that as a post. In October. The 16th to be exact.
♥Pam
Great pix!
Wow Bill's away for a week and then you'll be gone for a week. Absence makes the heart grow fonder but in your case you don't need it!
Love the salmon and spinach froggy picture and what Planeterry said! Bar idea looks fun!
